creativity to our playhouse project... always with a
child’s playful point of view.

PROJECT PLAYHOUSE

Project Playhouse debuted in 1992 and has become
HomeAid, Orange County's signature fundraiser. In 17 years,
the event has raised more than $5 million to help the
organization fulfill its mission to build and maintain
dignified housing where homeless families and individuals
can rebuild their lives.

The success of Project Playhouse is attributed to the incredibly generous builder teams who donate their time, talent and resources to construct each fantasy cottage. These whimsical playhouses contain working electrical
systems and often include such amenities as flat screen TVs, entertainment systems and video game players.

For six weeks the playhouses will be on display at the Irvine Spectrum Center, Irvine, Calif. where millions of people will view the elaborately landscaped playhouse villages. The entire event culminates with an exciting live public auction.

About HomeAid Orange County

HomeAid Orange County is the founding chapter of a national non-profit organization. Its mission is also to build sustainable and dignified housing so that homeless families and individuals can re-establish their lives. Founded in 1989 by the Orange County Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, HomeAid acts as the housing developer and liaison between service providers, community volunteers, builders and specialty contractors.

With the support of the community, HomeAid has renovated or constructed 44 housing developments in Orange County providing refuge for homeless men, women and children.
